I am just having my usual dose of watching Jessica's performances all day while working...
I don't know about you guys if you had been listening seriously to Jess and Hollie's Eternal Flame duet.
I know they were critiqued on it.. odd arangement or something.. Jessica opted for the lower registe only to give Hollie the high note part since she could to it better.. than the lower -- it wld hv been pitchy. that's the comments i've read...
But tell you what.... listen to their STUDIO VERSION .. and it's just so amazing! Jessica's voice on the intro was soothing.. all the way to the end... and the harmony and blending of their voices really worked out well.

well, i admit both of them have some problems doing second voice, anyway, they are honest to say they first harmonized during AI... but Hollie at the start was very pitchy. her voice is really powerful, but she lacks control of it when she doesn't shout the song. thats the reason why shes always pitchy at the start of the songs.

I heard the studio version on my headphones and they sound great together. I agree that Hollie has voice control problems
leading to the pitch issue, but when she's relaxed, her vibrato is impeccable. I alway thought she had one of the best vibratos when she commanded her voice.
Jessica sounded beautiful here. I almost didn't recognize her voice until I heard one of her typical pronunciations.
Her voice is so marketable at this stage.
Hollie just needs some training and confidence , and she will go far with her career. She was one of my favorites to listen to during the competition.
