I'm so happy for Phillip and I'm glad he's at #2 and doing so well with the song.. I hope he does break the mold and that some can see that just because he's a white guy and plays a guitar doesn't mean he won't make it bit..

I was the last Phillip Phillips fan, but he really is amazing, and he turned that song into something else. So very happy for him. ![]()

I like the singer-songwriters. If they play an instrument, write music, and of course move me, they'll probably have my vote, regardless of gender, race, or instrument preference

Still my favorite winning moment in the show's history - TIED with Kris Allen's.

I am happy for him that his first single (which he didn't want by the way, so he should be counting his lucky stars right now) is selling... but his winner's song has been the first coronation song since David Cook's that has been considered any good... one hit song after bein seen by 20 million people on average each week is not that surprising... let's see if in November or early next year he still can make that kind of splash with an album... He is fresh off Idol, let's see what he can do when the buzz has died down...

Please, please, please stop the bitterness. He wanted an original song. What artist wouldn't? But, he did all of the work to make his single popular. Your negative, passive-aggressive comments don't change the numbers. Jessica chose badly. PLEASE move on. Let's see what ALL of them do when the buzz dies down. Phillip has started his journey well. Give him some credit.
