He is so perfect for his role on the show! Loosing Ryan would be the biggest loss to American Idol! I liked how they showed a glimpse into his personal life this season (very private about it usually) and had Julianne Hough off to the side. Made him even more lovable showing his girlfriend there the night he was sick! This isn't all Ryan does he's very involved with charitable organizations and oh so much more! I can't picture the show starting without RYAN SEACREST! And his walk down the steps! He's so good with all the contestants and you can tell he enjoys them all! Seacrest Stays forever I hope!

I hope so too, Brooke!!!  He's the best at everything he does. I can't imagine the show without Ryan.

As far as I know, he just signed a contract with AI for two more seasons.

I'm pretty Ryan decided to sign on for another season of Idol after all. It totally wouldn't be Idol without him and we might be back to a Brian Dunkleman kind of host....horrible thought

No offense to his fans, but I would like to see a change in hosts.  

Seacrest's cheezy drama has worn really thin with me.  It is so phony.  I would rather have a host who is either a better actor and can fake being genuine better than Seacrest, or one that is actually more "real".

People said AI wouldn't be AI without Simon and it has survived.

ALTHOUGH, Seacrest IS better than Dunkleman (shudder)

I agree- Ryan Secret is the only reason I still watch the show especially with the 3 original judges gone.

A few days ago Nigel said this to a TMZ reporter. I just said yesterday that if Ryan left I'd seriously consider not watching the show. Anyone agree with Nigel's statement?

Thankfully, no. But I guess the reporter mentioned the changes with the judges and asked what would happen if Ryan was replaced as well. Nigel said it would be hard to replace him. He even said that everyone thought Idol would be over once Simon left.

Ryan is a terrific host and is the heart of American Idol.  His leaving would affect ratings negatively.

I will pass on tonights hour long, and probably won't come back until after the preliminarys. Maybe by that time Ryan will sort out which of the two girls he wants to keep and get rid of the other.
