Say something positive about your favorite American Idol! ![]()
My favorite is Lee DeWyze!

A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to discover an artist on American Idol that very quickly became my favorite. I think he's everything that an American Idol should be. His voice is amazing...then add to that the beautiful, heartfelt lyrics he writes, and how he pours his heart and soul into every song, and you've got a combination that I think is incrediable. He's also such a nice person, who always makes it known how grateful he is to be able to do what he loves most, and for the support he gets from his fans.
I'm reallylooking forward to Lee's new album, which should be out before the year ends. He's getting great reviews at the Finalists Live concerts, where he's performing two songs from his upcoming album. Everyone that's heard them have said how amazing they are, so there's lots to look forward to! And incase anyone didn't know, I'm very proud to be a fan of Lee. I've supported him from the start, and always will! ![]()
I'm also thankful to American idol, for introducing me to his music, and for giving artists a way to get heard. I would never lump any of these artists into a group, because they're all unique, and talented artists, who have their own style, and really shouldn't be compared.
Favorite songs by Lee: Fallen, So What Now, Open Your Eyes

What a great pot OP. I am glad you shared that with us.
It is hard for me to pick an absolute favorite of all the contestants but I think I will go with my favorite female contestant. Carly Smithson (who btw is PREGNANT!!) had a rough road getting on Idol and never gave up. Often she described her journey in the music world and her face always showed the struggles were many. Even so, she never stopped trying. I think her voice is at least in the top 4 female voices Idol ever had and her performance ability is great. I have supported her post Idol efforts and am still hoping for a break out moment in her career.
I have this fantasy that she and Elise will get together and do something. It could work.....right?

Hi Jovi..I love Lee too. Scotty is probably my favorite right now, but Lee is definitely high on the short list. Have you ever heard of Spotify?? I looked Lee up on there and he has some new tunes. They're really good.

I like the singer-songwriters. If they play an instrument, write music, and of course move me, they'll probably have my vote, regardless of gender, race, or instrument preference

(((Jovi))) I love your passion for your favorites, especially Lee, what a beautiful post!
I'm sure I don't have to tell ya, my favorite is James Durbin! ![]()
Of course I love his vocals, but it's everything he stands for that I truly love about him. His love for Heidi, is admirable and very sweet. Not to mention, his son, whom he just adores. He is an inspiration to so many people with disabilities, to follow their dreams and stand up for what they believe in. Sharing his experiences of being bullied, with others, and offering words of encouragment. James is funny, creative, and truly appreciative of his fans. Can't wait to hear his next upcoming single, on the airwaves soon, and looking forward to a new, heavier album this fall.
BTW, Jovi, in case you didn't know...I miss you.
We really need to take time to chat again, it's been awhile.
