Be an actor. Listen intently with the best nonverbal skills to all judges and Iovine, everything they say is such a great suggestion for you moving forward, and wow I see why you are so valuable here on Idol and the entire music industry, I am so lucky to be chosen and mentored by you.......then pick your own song, perform it the way you want, dont even double guess it and win this competition.....

Re: If you were a mentor, what advice would you give this top 6 now?

Elise: You need to sing songs in your wheel house dog.

Phillip: You so sexy, you give me goosies as you creep around stage. Be in it to win it!

Hollie: listen to what we are all telling you, then forget that and just live in the moment. Oh and you look good tonight babygirl.

Joshua: .................oh sorry I was standing and clapping, I lost my concentration.

Jessica: Give me that microphone!!! You're not going anywhere!!!!

Skylar: I just felt like I was at the Skylar bar and grill. You are the rocking country girl, dude.

To all: When you're getting your comments from Captain Kangaroo and the gang, smile, nod and say thank you.  The ones who count are the voters.  Be careful of your words in your backstage interview.  Have fun and be proud of your efforts.

Thanks Mods!!!

Re: If you were a mentor, what advice would you give this top 6 now?

Elise: You're the oldest in the group, and be proud of it. Don't try to out-youth the youth, you can't win. Accept who you are, and be happy. Channel your inner Diana Krall. Or your inner Florence Welch. There's a big silent majority out there in the audience that isn't part of the teeny-bopping crowd.

Skylar: The twang got you this far. It will also take you down before the end. Part of the magic of the AI journey is re-invention --- and on our part as the audience, watching a contestant GROW. You started out the season being the resident country singer. You can't win it all if by the end of the season all you still are ... is The Resident Country Singer.

Joshua: Love your soul and energy, but would like to see you go soft and romantic for once, or exercise a little more control, and actually hold back a little bit.

Philip: Not much I can add, for I think you're set in your ways. A lot of your ways are brilliant, mind you. But there's something lost when someone's totally oblivious to any and all feedback --- nobody's THAT good, son. If you're this set when you haven't really accomplished anything yet, how much more closed to any suggestions would you be when you win it all and get a recording contract? Shudder.

Hollie: You realized this week that when you've hit rock bottom and your back's against the wall, you have nothing left to lose, so might as well live in the moment and leave it all out there. Your growth this season has been nothing short amazing.  Guess what? You're still at rock bottom. Your back's still against the wall. So next week, fight for your life --- and amaze us once again, like you did this week. Embrace being a bottom dweller --- and survivor --- each week. It's those who are pushed the hardest who may end up becoming the best.

Jessica: You're a prodigy amongst prodigies. A freak of nature. Your golden voice is a tear in the fabric of time and space. That being said, you're oh so, so, so young. The rest of you seems to be a cipher, an empty vessel. You've got the vocal abilities of a 40 year old  Celine Dion --- in the heart and mind of a 16 year old child. Whether or not you win it all this season, what I do hope for you is you realize there's a lot more to life than just singing and performing. For in order for you to grow and have a chance to become one of the The Great Ones, you need to become a person, first --- and a singer, second

Sing for your life like it's the last song you've ever sang.  Sing from your heart and soul and lay it all out on stage and hope for the best.:womanhappy:
