i find myself not caring whether they are brotherly/sisterly as they appear to be or if they are fudging the truth to protect their privacy, because their dating habits don't make or break them as musical artists, so it's all good, whatever the case may be
deandre has also been linked in the rumor mills with hollie and skylar and shannon, elise and erika seem to adore him as well, but i personally don't think he has "hooked up" with any of them.. i think being in the trenches together gives all the contestants a "brothers in arms" bond of friendship, and that's one of my favorite aspects of the show i love all the bromaces and seeing the older ones taking the younger ones under their wings like a big brother/sister..
deandre seemed almost like the "middle child" of season 11 joshua and elise looked after him as their "little buddy" (which i loved because those were my top three favorites since before those bonds developed) but deandre also had others' back as well.. one of my favorite pics was poolside at the mansion and jessica was looking fearfully at the pool, perhaps she is not a strong swimmer, and deandre had his arm around her protectively as if to say "don't worry, i won't let you fall in, you're not gonna drown as long as i'm here!" and more than one has named deandre as the best friend they had on the show, he's apparently a very good listener and compassionate.. the girls especially seem to love him to pieces, lol
yep, people who were able to follow that upstream came away adoring them both even more! they have said they were especially close because they had to be tutored together as they were required to put in school hours in addition to rehearsals, so they had more opportunity to get to know each other as they were in the same boat so to speak

I don't know that's not even the most (telling) picture I've seen. Of course I can't find it now when I wish I had it.. I hadn't heard the rumors at all and came across a pic somewhere of just Deandre and Jessica snuggled up in a chair, heads together with their eyes closed and it did go through my head. "Hmmm really cute couple, wonder if their dating?" Now, Imo I kinda think they are! 
no i didn't see/hear the upstream but i've chatted with those who have and they are split about 50/50 on whether or not they believe the "just friends" claim.. yes i do still take their word for it because if that is the message they choose to publicize then it is none of my business to speculate on whether they are sidestepping the truth or if they truly are platonic.. but i'd still lean towards the suspicion that it is platonic bc there are similar pix of deandre with the other girls.. just because he likes to snuggle doesn't mean there's anything beyond that going on.. and if there is, so be it, it is their business if or when to announce such news, if there is any truth in it, so i don't lose sleep wondering about how seriously or romantically involved they may or may not be.. i don't need to be convinced, i'm just not all that interested in their love life beyond what they choose to announce i just wanted to respond because it was a cute picture.. sure, a picture can paint a thousand words, but it would be a different thousand words for each person interpretting it, so when it comes right down to it yes i do take their word for it because i think straight from the horse's mouth is a much more reliable source than others' speculation.. and like i say, if they're telling white lies to protect their privacy, they have a right to their privacy, which is why i take them at their word and leave it at that

sorry.. what was the "whoa" for? did i come across as confrontational or combative? because i promise i didn't intend it that way.. i was just explaining my reasons why i take them at their word when you said i would think differently if i actually saw them together, but i honestly don't think it would change my mind.. should i not have explained myself when assumptions are made about what i would or would not think if given more evidence? or should i let the assumptions stand rather than speak for myself? i guess it's similar to allowing jessica and deandre to speak for themselves instead of calling them out as liars when we have no proof that they are..
