Remember when American Idol USED to be good

I agree with Maria, I still like Idol... I think it's still a good show...

We don't know that it won't be good. As negative as some of us feel about some particular "judge" (hah), there could be fantastic contestants, better more involved judging than last year, and twists like the drama save from last season we can't even yet predict. The worst would be if it's boring, and I doubt that will be the case.

I don't think I will ever think of American Idol as not being a "good" show. Even if I don't like all of the judges or contestants, or if the results of the show don't turn out exactly the way I want, I will probably always think of American Idol as a "good" show. And who knows? Maybe Season 12 will turn out to be one of the best seasons ever.

i still think it's a good show too..  last season was one of my favorite seasons, and i have a feeling it's going to be very interesting next season, but i don't think i can really judge it until i actually see it..  whether or not it's the best show, it's still good, and still worth watching, imo   so yes, i remember clearly when it used to be good, because that was like five minutes ago, and still is

Seems to me that whenever I wind up having a strong favorite on the show that's when AI is good for me.  When I'm not really interested in the contestants, that's when I feel more like the topic of this thread.

It has definitely changed...for many, inevitable reasons but it's still good IMO
