i don't know boom..  i'm among the first to get on the bandwagon about the girls and boys being treated equally and fairly, but when it comes to my votes, it still boils down to whose musical performances move me the most..  last season i had some very strong opinions about how some of the boys were getting away with murder in the critiques compared to what the girls were hearing, but the majority of my votes still went to a boy, until he went home, then they went to a girl bc she had been my second favorite overall since the start..  but i don't want a girl to win just for the sake of breaking the pattern, i want the best talent to win, and since we all have such varied opinions on who is the best, then whoever wins ultimately deserves it just as much as any of the others would, regardless of their gender or genre of choice or whatever   just my opinion

I've pretty much given up on voting altogether regardless of having favorites. Not necessarily because I am unsatisfied with the system (I voted for the first 3 WGWGs so I guess that means I didn't care), but just because I've lost interest, I've become lazy. Some may disagree, but I've begun to think my votes don't count....yes I know I just said I took part in helping 3 of the WGWGs win, but now I feel differently. I didnt want to see an invisible target on my back for being part of the majority that kept that era alive. I just simply got tired after the first 3 years of that era. It's nothing against Scotty or Phillip, it's just my way of thinking.
