I closed my eyes and listened. I love Phil Collins and that song is a very angry song. Charlie was spot on...voicewise. If you go back and listen, you will hear it too. He may be a little awkward with his movements (probably because he's not used to being onstage), but his voice is always amazing. He gets my vote tonight!
Hang in there Charlie! You're going to go far, whether it's on the show or off. The only advice that I would give is, you will have to grow more of a backbone, being in this business. I'll buy your album!!!

I get where that song came from.
He was taking Nikki seriously, she flirted with him. Then she called him her child. The song choice was amazing and relevant and it spoke how angry he was.
I loved it...

charlie and adam lambert have WAY too much talent for the average JOE.... adam sold his soul to the pop devil,,,, and Charlie is in danger of falling victim to IGNORANT jughead judges who don't see that he is the ONLY male contestant to serve up so much more than the average POP CRAP........ LOVE HIM

Are you saying he sang the song directed at Nicki because he was mad at her ?![]()

Hmmm?
'Amazing' is easily one of the single most misused words in the entire English language... Especially in this case.
Charlie's abilities as a vocalist are marginal at best, and tuneless/abrasive at worst.
It's quite obvious to anyone with even a modicum of vocal education that Charlie's appeal (to some) is based more upon empathy/sympathy for his personal plight than anything having to do with his performance abilities.

You're welcome.

yep...
He chose to respond to her. For him, it was personal.
If you go back and look at all the footage of his audition, the first few rounds and the flirts Nikki gave him - watch how he responds. Then really look at his face when she calls him her cuddly baby that she wants to rock in her arms; you could see the hurt and anger form in his eyes, while onstage.
