To me, she was incredibly easy to look at (Steven would agree), but very hard to listen to.  She just didn't have the chops to overcome some of the vocal hurdles in those tough songs.  I still think she sang better than all the guys except Joshua, but "America" doesn't seem too concerned with vocal talent.

Anway, I was sorry to see her go, if only for the fact that I have to look at Heejun's mug for another week instead of her gorgeous, young Faith Hill visage.

I hope she does well in her career.

Hard to listen to?  That is ridiculous.  She tried songs that others were afraid to attempt.  She was not perfect but neither were any of the other contestants.  She tried things that others would not.  She has variety to her tone which is more than I can say about most of the other contestants.  Without her, you are left with people who lots of training.

Maybe she wasn't ready yet,but she should've made it farther than what she did. I was hoping Shannon would at least be 10th or 9th place. Too bad. I think she just liked challanging herself, which is good in some way because it can help her improve. The best singers are those who practice and take risks to see what they are capable of. She once said she surprises her own self. I am sure she'll get better. I don't even think it will take 5 years as Randy said. I came across some videos on Youtube when she was younger and she's gotten better the older she became. In 3 years she'll be awesome!
